Privacy and cookie policy

This page explains which personal data I collect through the website www.makeweddingstudio.it, why I collect it and how you can control it, as required by Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). This is a translation of the Italian policy, which prevails in case of any discrepancy.

1. Data controller

2. What data I collect

• Data you send me through the contact form: your names, email address, wedding date and venue, where you are from, number of guests and days, and the text of your message. The same applies to any data you send me by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Technical browsing data: like any website, the hosting provider’s servers automatically record some technical information (IP address, date and time of the visit, page requested, browser type). It is needed for the site to work securely and is not used to identify you.

Please do not include special categories of data (for example health information) that are not needed to organise the service.

3. Why I use it and on what legal basis

• To reply to your enquiry and send you availability and a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), so no separate consent is required.
• To provide the photography service, if you decide to book it: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and compliance with tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• To keep the website secure, using technical browsing data: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f)).

I do not use your data for newsletters, advertising or profiling, and I never sell it or pass it on to anyone for these purposes.

4. Do you have to provide it?

No, it is your choice. Without your names and email address, however, I cannot reply to you. The other fields of the form are optional and only help me prepare a more accurate proposal.

5. How long I keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
• Clients: kept for the duration of our relationship. After that, I only keep tax and accounting records for the 10 years required by Italian law (Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code).
• Technical browsing data: for the time strictly necessary, according to the hosting provider’s policies.

6. Who can see your data

• Aruba S.p.A., which provides website hosting and email and processes data on my behalf as data processor. Its servers are located in the European Union.
• Collaborators such as a second photographer or a videographer, only if you choose to add them to the service and only as far as needed to organise it.
• Accountant and advisers, for tax and accounting obligations.

Your data stays in the European Union and is never made public.

7. Cookies

This website does not use cookies: no first-party technical cookies, no profiling cookies and no analytics tools. It does not load resources from external services either: fonts and images are hosted on the site itself. This is why you will not see a cookie consent banner.

8. Your rights

At any time you can ask me to:

• confirm what data I hold about you and receive a copy (Art. 15);
• correct or complete it (Art. 16);
• delete it (Art. 17);
• restrict its use (Art. 18);
• receive it in a machine-readable format to transfer it to someone else (Art. 20);
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21).

Just write to info@makeweddingstudio.it: I will reply within one month. If you believe your data is not being handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

9. Changes to this policy

I may update this page, for example if I add new services to the website. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
